Overview

Schedules in Drawbridge define when access is allowed. They are a foundational component used throughout the system and are most commonly paired with Door Groups in Access Levels.

A Schedule answers the question:

“At what times should access be granted?”

Schedules can be applied to:

Access Levels (for door access permissions)

Scheduled Commands (for automated actions)

Other time-based system behaviors

Key Components of a Schedule

Name

oA clear, descriptive title

oExample: “Weekday Business Hours”

Description

oOptional details about the schedule’s purpose

Passage Mode Enabled

oAllows a door to remain unlocked after a double badge (on supported locksets)

oSelect a specific day (e.g., Monday) or a Holiday Group

From – Through

oDefines the active time window

oBlue sections on the slider indicate active periods

You can create multiple entries to cover:

Weekdays vs weekends

Different time blocks within the same day

Holiday exceptions

How Schedules Are Used

Schedules are most commonly used in:

Access Levels

Define when a cardholder can access specific doors

Scheduled Commands

Control when doors unlock, relock, or trigger actions

System Automation

Coordinate time-based behaviors across devices

Passage Mode Explained

When Passage Mode is enabled:

A user presents a credential → door unlocks normally

The same user presents the credential again before relock → door stays unlocked

Door remains unlocked until:

oCredential is presented twice again, or

oThe schedule ends

Note: This feature is typically supported on wireless, PoE, or Aperio locksets.

Best Practices

Use clear naming conventions (e.g., “Mon–Fri 8am–5pm”)

Keep schedules simple and reusable

Use Holiday Groups for exceptions instead of modifying standard schedules

Avoid overlapping or conflicting time ranges

Test schedules to confirm expected behavior

Important Notes

Schedules do not grant access by themselves—they must be paired with Door Groups in Access Levels

Changes to a Schedule automatically affect all linked Access Levels and Commands

Holiday Groups override normal daily schedules when applied
