Overview
The HID Aero x100 is an expansion panel (subcontroller) used with the Aero x1100 controller to add additional access control points within a Drawbridge system. It provides onboard inputs and outputs to support door control, monitoring, and auxiliary functions.
The x100 is typically deployed when additional doors or I/O capacity is required beyond what the x1100 controller can support natively.
The panel communicates through the x1100 controller and inherits system configuration and synchronization from Drawbridge.

•Supports up to:
o2 access points
o2 Wiegand readers or 4 OSDP readers
•Includes:
o4 relays for door strike and auxiliary outputs
o7 supervised inputs for monitoring:
▪Door contacts
▪REX (Request to Exit)
▪Power status
▪Battery status
▪Tamper conditions
▪General-purpose inputs
•Supports analog-to-digital conversion on supervised inputs
1.Navigate to Monitor/Command → Devices
2.Select the associated Aero x1100 controller
3.Click the Add Subcontroller tab (or select an existing x100)
4.Choose Aero x100
5.Click Create
This opens the configuration page for the x100.
•Description - A short, descriptive name for the x100 panel (e.g., East Wing Panel).
•Selected Channel - Displays which port (Channel 1 or 2) on the x1100 the x100 is connected to.
•Address
oThe hardware address of the x100 panel.
oMust match the physical configuration of the device.
Used primarily for troubleshooting and support.
•Aero Controller - The parent x1100 controller
•Hardware Server - The Drawbridge server the controller is connected to
•Aero Controller UID - Internal system identifier for the x1100
•Subcontroller UID - Internal identifier for the x100
•SIO Number - Manufacturer reference value
•Revision - Hardware revision level
•Firmware Version - Current firmware installed on the x100
•Serial Number - Unique hardware serial number
•Displays a full audit trail of:
oConfiguration changes
oSystem updates
oUser actions related to the x100
The x100 acts as a host for readers, inputs, and outputs.
Steps to Add an I/O Point
1.Navigate to Devices
2.Select the x100 panel
3.Click the Add Device tab
4.Choose the I/O type:
oReader
oInput
oOutput
5.Click Create
6.Configure the device as needed and click Save
•Ensure the Address matches the physical DIP switch or configured address on the panel.
•Maintain consistent naming conventions for easier system management.
•Verify communication with the x1100 before adding I/O devices.
•Use the Details tab when troubleshooting connectivity or firmware issues.
